Jeff Sporl

Geophysicist and Geologist.  Jeff graduated with Highest Distinction with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics from Penn State University in 1985 and began his career in petroleum exploration with Amoco Production Company in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He became a lead subsurface interpreter and prospect generator at Apache Corporation, BHP Americas and Amoco Production Company, focusing on prospect generation; 2-D or 3-D seismic selection, acquisition, processing and interpretation; subsurface integration; pre-drill risk analysis and targeting.

Jeff formed Streamline Exploration over 25 years ago focusing on generating high-quality 3-D seismic based prospects for various operators in the Gulf of Mexico, onshore Gulf Coast and Permian Basin, and help form both PetroQuest Energy and Buccaneer Energy via discoveries generated by Streamline.  In his 37 years of subsurface and seismic interpretation, he has accumulated an impressive well success record of over 80% with over 45 discovery wells drilled to date.  Jeff’s main areas of expertise include detailed G&G analysis, deal sourcing and screening, acquisition evaluations, reserves verification, upside identification, seismic interpretation, subsurface integration, prospect generation and field development.
